
It's summer! My favourite time of the year. I love the sunshine, blooming flowers and hearing my children playing outside. These are just some of the wonderful things that heighten my senses and make the season such a joy. One of the things I do with my daughters is bake muffins. I couldn't resist the fresh raspberries that were in my fridge so we made a batch. My girls can't seem to get enough of fresh fruit and love home baking.

Raspberry Muffins
1/2 cup melted butter
1/2 cup of sugar
1 egg
1 cup milk
1 1/2 cup white flour
1/4 cup whole wheat flour
3 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup of raspberries
Mix together the flours, baking powder and salt.
In a separate bowl, mix butter, sugar, egg and milk. Add to the dry ingredients. Gently stir in the raspberries.
Bake at 350 for 22-25 minutes.
